Le groupe Fast Retailing, propriétaire de la marque Uniqlo , a enregistré un bénéfice net record en 2022.

Le dynamisme des marchés occidentaux et sud-est asiatiques

Fast Retailing a publié le 13 octobre, son résultat consolidé aux normes comptables internationales pour l’exercice 2022. Le groupe a comptabilisé un bénéfice net de 273.3 milliards JPY( 1,92 milliards EUR) soit une hausse de 61% par rapport à l’exercice précédent . Il s’agit de la deuxième année consécutive de hausse.

Le chiffre d’affaires a été de 2300.1 milliards JPY (16,1 milliards EUR) et le résultat d’exploitation de 297.3 milliards JPY (2.09 milliards EUR).

Cette bonne performance est largement due au dynamisme des marchés européen, américain et sud-est asiatique. Le groupe y a largement profité des achats de rattrapage post confinement Covid. En effet, les marchés hors Japon et Chine, ont représenté à eux seuls un peu plus de 53% des résultats d’exploitation, soit 158.3 milliards JPY (1.11 milliards EUR) , une hausse de 40% par rapport à l’exercice précédent.

La faiblesse du yen , une aubaine

Il est à noter que la faiblesse du yen a permis d’enregistrer un gain de change d’environ 114.3 milliards JPY (804.9 millions EUR) à titre de produits exceptionnels au moment où le marché chinois, a lourdement été impacté par le confinement total. Le marché domestique (Japon) est demeuré rentable en dépit des ruptures de stocks des collections d’hiver car l’enseigne avait diminué le nombre d’offres promotionnelles.

Une courbe de prévision de CA en hausse, le bénéfice en baisse

Pour l’exercice 2023, Fast Retailing prévoit un chiffre d’affaires total de 2650 milliards JPY(18.66 milliards EUR) et un résultat d’exploitation de 350 milliards JPY( 2.46 milliards EUR), soit une hausse respective de 15% et 18%. Pour ce faire, il a prévu d’augmenter de 20% le prix des collections automne et hiver. Enfin, d’ici là le yen aura atteint la limite de son niveau de dévaluation, le groupe prévoit une baisse de bénéfice net de l’ordre de 18% pour tourner autour de 230 milliards JPY(1.61 milliards EUR)
